CrossPathCulture is pleased to present “Like Candy,” a major show of photography from one of New York’s most provocative young artists, Rad Roubeni.
Roubeni is well known among New York’s emerging photography set for his juicy technique and teasing sense of satire. “Like Candy” is a colorful romp through the sugar-pop world of mallrat glamour. At once seductive and repellent, “Like Candy” is a feast for the eyes…and the imagination. Although Roubeni wickedly claims, “I don’t want to make you think. You will."
The show’s opening incorporated a collectors/press-only reception from 8-9 PM featuring renowned DJs, a pink-champagne menu and a gallery space conversion that will only seduce. The exhibition’s debut continued until 12 midnight, and was followed by an invitation-only after-party at Manhattan hot-spot Veruka.
