Angus and Ian are a creative team of photographers who at present live and work in New York City. Angus Andrew was born in the Phillipines and raised in Australia, while Ian Brooks was born and raised in Los Angeles. They have been working together since 1997, when they met as undergraduates at the California Institute for the Arts. They formed the performance art group "The Studio" in 1999, appearing at a number of venues, including The Egyptian Arena and Troubadour. They have also exhibited their work in Los Angeles and Sydney galleries. Their photography is tied very closely to advertising, adopting the same methods of seduction, i.e., color, sex, humor, to suspend disbelief in their completely fabricated fantasy.
