Iannis Delatolas was born in Germany in 1971, and raised on the Greek Island of Tinos and later in Athens. He has lived in New York City since 1991. He studies photography with noted photographer David Armstrong. He is also working with director Robert Wilson, whose art collection he has been involved in photographing and cataloguing, on a production based on the music of the Greek composer Iannis Xenakis and the myth of Prometheus. The current focus of his photography is portraiture and desert landscapes.
